CinemaNext to Participate in UNIC Cinema Days 2024

CinemaNext will not just be attending but taking a particularly active part in the upcoming UNIC Cinema Days 2024, scheduled for October 24-25 at the Radisson Collection Hotel in Brussels, Belgium. The annual event, organised by the International Union of Cinemas (UNIC), brings together key stakeholders from across the European cinema industry to discuss crucial developments and future trends in exhibition.

This year's edition of UNIC Cinema Days will feature a comprehensive program addressing vital cinema industry topics, from sustainability and technological innovation to marketing strategies and leadership development. The two-day event is structured to provide maximum value through specialised tracks, including dedicated Cinema Marketing and Cinema Technology Labs, with wide representation from across the European cinema industry sector in terms of operators, vendors and others.

CinemaNext's presence at the event will be highlighted through several key participations. Alexandra Body, Marketing and Communication Director at CinemaNext, will contribute as a mentor in the UNIC Women's Cinema Leadership Programme, including as a speaker during the Quickfire Panel session that concludes the first day. This prestigious program, which opens the event on October 24th, aims to support and empower the next generation of female cinema leaders.

In the technical sphere, Patrick von Sychowski and Wout Vander Elst from CinemaNext will lend their expertise to the joint ICTA-EDCF mini session, focusing on emerging trends and requirements in cinema software. This participation aligns with the Technology Lab's emphasis on crucial industry topics including cybersecurity, software trends, and technological advancement in exhibition.

The UNIC Cinema Days 2024 program showcases the industry's focus on innovation and adaptation, with sessions covering critical areas that are also a focus for CinemaNext such as:

  • Sustainability and energy efficiency
  • Premium cinema experiences
  • Laser projection and HDR technology
  • Digital security and KDM delivery
  • Accessibility initiatives
  • Software developments and trends

The event will as in previous years feature important discussions on topical issues, such as marketing challenges, including slate awareness, subscription schemes, and immersive experiences beyond traditional cinema. These sessions reflect the European cinema industry's ongoing evolution and commitment to enhancing the theatrical experience.

CinemaNext's participation in UNIC Cinema Days 2024 underscores the company's commitment to driving innovation and excellence in cinema exhibition, while contributing to the development of industry leadership and technological advancement.

The UNIC Cinema Days continue to serve as a crucial platform for industry dialogue and collaboration, bringing together exhibitors, technology providers, and industry experts to shape the future of cinema exhibition in Europe.
